The 4 1/2-mile Bench Trail is a relatively level route that travels around Mount Nebo’s natural terraces and is ideal for mountain bikers. The route takes you through the mixed hardwood and pine forest past ancient springs and Fern Lake, where you can enjoy rock work done by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the early 1930s.

5. Golfing at the Deer Trails Country Club

Deer Trails Country Club is a nine-hole course in Fort Smith, Arkansas’s Chaffee Crossing, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
