The 2023 Kia Telluride is hitting the road and is better than ever. The mid-size SUV boasts a revamped exterior design, a technology-rich interior, and impressive capability. Here’s your quick introduction to this unique car.

Meet the 2023 Kia Telluride

1. Exterior

With the ’23 Telluride, you have options no matter your price range or style. A new design for the standard LED headlamps, the grille, rear bumpers, and tailgates distinguishes the ’23 Telluride from its predecessors. The two new X-Line and X-Pro variants are aimed at off-roading with a higher height, new roof rails, and all-terrain tires.

Drivers have multiple exterior color paint options to choose from, including dawning red, jungle wood green, midnight lake blue, everlasting silver, black copper, gravity gray, and more.

2. Interior

Your newest Telluride is a three-row crossover that seats up to eight passengers and seven with the optional captain’s chair. Synthetic leather upholstery and manually adjustable front seats are offered as standard amenities. Available interior luxury features are genuine leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and carpeted floor mats.

3. Performance

Under the hood, the latest Telluride is powered by a 3.8-liter V6 that pumps out 291 horsepower and 262 lb. feet of torque. The powertrain is mated to an 8-speed automatic with either Smart, Eco, Comfort, or Sport mode. AWD models have added ‘Snow’ and ‘AWD Lock’ for specific driving environments.

The newly added Downhill Brake control maintains a balanced descent on steep roads. Its fuel efficiency rate is 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The estimate drops to 18/24 mpg city/highway for AWD models.

4. Infotainment and Connectivity

It is not a Kia if it doesn’t feature advanced infotainment and connectivity features. Standard features include a 12.3-inch display system, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, satellite radio, a 6-speaker sound system, Multi-Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and a WIFI hotspot. You also get driver talk that uses a microphone to allow communication with second and third-row occupants.

High-end trims offer a 12.3-inch digital cluster, wireless charging pad, a 10-speaker sound system, six USB ports, a rear-seat entertainment system, and two 120-volt outlets.

5. Driver-Assistance Features

The all-new Telluride has an abundant supply of standard driver-help features to help you understand everything happening around your car and to keep your passengers safe. Each trim offers:

  • Rearview camera
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Intelligent speed limit assist
  • Rear occupant alert
  • Road-sign recognition
