  1. The Exterior Features

Even the base Sorento L has 17-inch alloy wheels and automatic headlights. Stepping up to the LX adds interior updates and the option for low-profile roof rails. The new S trim comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, while the EX has a foot-activated rear liftgate, a panoramic sunroof, and projector-beam fog lights. For even more exterior upgrades, the SX adds LED taillights, chrome exterior trim elements, and power-folding side mirrors.

The S gives the third-row air conditioning controls, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. For leather upholstery, step up to the EX or the SX, and the SX will also add driver’s seat memory settings.

  1. The Power

Power for the L and LX Sorento comes from a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 185 horsepower that works with a six-speed automatic transmission. All the other models have a 3.3-liter V-6 engine under the hood that generates 290 horsepower. This powertrain works with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This SUV provides a smooth and relaxed driving experience. The three driving modes, Normal, Eco, and Sport, will adjust the throttle response and the steering to make the most of any road conditions.

  1. The Safety Features

You can feel safe in the Sorento with its standard and available safety features. All trims have a rearview camera with automatic emergency braking available for the LX and up. Additional available safety technology includes a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, and you can also get lane departure warning and lane-keep assist. The SX offers a surround-view camera system and forward park distance warning. The new S model has a rear collision mitigation system in addition to the forward collision mitigation system.
